*Note: these areas are not meant to be exhaustive, as it is anticipated that some papers may not directly address any of them. Similarly, other papers might connect with multiple areas. Authors are encouraged to indicate in their proposal submission which, if any, of these areas might be relevant to their work as this will aid with the review of proposals and ultimately the organization of conference sessions. Proposals will not be excluded on the basis of not addressing the above areas.

Keynote speakers

Professor David Tzuriel

A prominent psychologist and educator, renowned for his expertise in dynamic assessment and the theory of mediated learning experience (MLE). He serves as Professor Emeritus at Bar-Ilan University in Israel and has made significant contributions to understanding cognitive modifiability and the assessment of learning potential. He has published numerous influential works in the field of cognitive education. He has also held leadership roles, including serving as President of the International Association for Cognitive Education and Psychology. His innovative research focuses on how mediation can enhance children’s learning and problem-solving abilities.

His conference paper will be: The Interface of Human Mediation and Computerized Intervention: Effects on Executive Functions and Abilities

Assoc. Prof. Stefano Taddei

A researcher in Clinical Psychology in University of Florence. He was a member of the Scientific Committee of SIPEF, the Italian Society of Educational and Training Psychology; of ISCRAT, the International Society of Cultural Research on Activity Theory; and of the Italian Society of Health Psychology. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Psicologia della salute and was a member of the editorial board of the journal Bollettino di Psicologia Applicata. He currently teaches Developmental Psychopathology at the degree course in Primary Education Sciences at the University of Florence.

His research interests include health promotion and prevention strategies, psychological applications in rehabilitation and treatment in health, social and educational contexts, assessment of cognitive processes and applications of communication technologies to psychological interventions (e-counselling and e-health).

Cand. Polit. Gunvor Sønnesyn

A distinguished psychologist specializing in cognitive assessment and inclusive education. With a strong background in applying the PASS theory of intelligence, she focuses on enhancing educational practices for diverse learners, particularly those with learning difficulties. Gunvor has contributed significantly to the field through her work in Pedverket Kompetanse. Her professional interests involve the ecological and cultural validity of assessment methods, aiming to create supportive learning environments that promote the cognitive and emotional development of all students.

Her conference paper will be: Cognitive support for thinking and learning – the Nyborg concept teaching model, its basis and relevance

Papers proposals

Papers will be allotted 15-20 minutes each, including discussion and question/answer period.

Abstracts should be no more than 150 words, presented in a single paragraph. The abstract should summarize the aim, main topic, and most relevant outcomes of the presentation. If the proposed presentation is a report of research, the abstract should specify the principal research question(s), the subjects, the method, and the results.

Posters proposals

Abstracts should have the same features as individual papers and reports proposals but should be identified as poster proposals. Presenters should be prepared to discuss their work and answer questions about it.

Details considering the posters format will be sent directly to the authors after their proposals have been accepted.
